So when these deep feelings are too much to bear, to express, and experience, the brain has created a new story of why we cannot do something which we can consciously accept. These are the ‘safe problems’.
I began to ask myself ‘Who is it that I need to become in order to have the lifestyle that I want to live’? The problem was, I had no idea what kind of lifestyle I wanted to live! How do we ever achieve anything intentional if we don’t even know what it is or how it looks and feels like??
From years of running out of time, and feeling like the world is about to end – to not only becoming much calmer, more present, and being able to enjoy the journey that I am on but also loving where I am at right now. The result, I have found, is being able to live consciously at the cause of my life rather than on autopilot and at the effect of everything that happens to me.
